The GPz 1000RX was a bigger, stronger successor to the GPz900R, using a liquid-cooled transverse four with four valves per cylinder and a Uni-Trak rear end. This 1987 entry rests on a group test in which the bike placed second behind a Suzuki, praised for handling and high-speed stability. Power arrives strongly, but the bike is heavy and better suited to experienced riders.
